Hello everybody! My name is Dan-Angel Codrean and I am this year’s coordinator. Before telling you why I came to ISWinT, I will try to describe what ISWinT really means to me.
International Student Week in Timisoara is not just a week when students from all over the world come to Timisoara and are being entertained by a group of people. ISWinT is a way of living, it is a family. You learn what team work really means, you learn to work and have lots of fun doing it… it’s one week that cannot be easily described in words by anyone… it’s simply ISWinT.

Everything begins by forming the team of each years’ edition, and continues with many discussions to create the theme and activities for that year.
In this discussions, we are consolidating the team, or as I like to say….we are creating The ISWinT Family, or The Little Green Family.
The most important thing of ISWinT is its team. Being an organizer, gives you the chance to make friends that, perhaps, will be close to you for a lifetime.
ISWinT is the one thing that I won’t forget from my 4 years of college.
Now I will tell you why I joined this great family.
At first, I didn’t know what to expect from college, I was scared that I will be just another student. I wasn’t satisfied with just that, I wanted more, I wanted to learn as much as I could, so I joined the students’ organization from my faculty (LigaAC).
At that time, they were preparing the recruitment period for ISWinT 2007, and because I was a party designer in high-school, I suggested we put a big ISWinT arrow made of balloons, in the main hall of the faculty, so that students come to learn more about the festival. The idea was accepted by all the members of the team and I was responsible for its achievement… I was so proud of it! I wanted to join the entertainment department, but there were many people working there already, so I joined the logistics department and resolved some of the problems of that edition. After that, in 2008 I coordinated the logistics department. ISWinT 2008 was a few times better than 2007, but it had its gaps. I wanted to resolve the existing problems, so I thought: “What a better way to that than to candidate as coordinator for the next edition?”. It was a tough decision and an even tougher year, but I don’t regret it, because I learned a lot of useful, wonderful things.
In the end, I would like to invite everybody to come to ISWinT at least once, to see what I was talking about at the beginning of this article. I am sure that you will not regret it. In fact, I am positive that you will look forward to come again, next year!
